One of our favorite places is the Botanical Gardens. Even though our field trip this week wasn't at a season when everything was in bloom we still found a lot of things to look at. We have learned to look at the small things when we go to the Gardens. Some of our favorite things to do there:
*Make an "I Spy" book. We take pictures of statues and permanent things at the gardens like interesting stepping stones. Then we put them in a book and next time we come we can look for them.
*Take pictures. When you are looking through the camera at small things you see so many wonderful things. At home the pictures can be made into cards or used for models to sketch.
Every once in awhile it's important to remember to look at the small things!
