This is a book we stubbled acrossed this month. It intrigued us because our unofficial youth theme at church is "We Can Do Hard Things" and so our mind has been on this subject. When I found this book I thought I'd try it out. I was so excited after the first few chapters that I got another copy for my son to be reading. I don't think this is a book just for teens. It's a book to encourage you to do more than you're doing....be passionate about life...stop being complacent. The twin authors talk about the low expectations people and our culture have for teens. They encourage teens to do things that are outside their comfort zone. It got me thinking about the places in my life that I have just assigned as "I don't do that". The thought of actually doing those 'hard things' actually made me have a panic attack! That sealed the deal...I have to do 'hard things' now. We are making plans to be more passionate about our lives. It's exciting to find a book that can inspire the whole family.
OK now I want to know all the hard things you are trying to encourage me to do hard things too. Does taking 4 kids hiking by myself count?
