Tonight, in an effort to do something different, our kids threw a music party. We had food and started with a show. Most all their friends who came performed a musical piece of some kind and we all cheered. I saw talents I never knew these kids had! It was great fun. The lip synching was fun to watch too and was great for those who didn't want to do anything serious. One game that was played was Name That Tune. It is amazing how frustrating it can be to be able to sing the song and yet not remember the name of the song! But it was fun frustration! I was the DJ and would turn on a song on one of our itunes playlists and then the kids would try to be the first one to yell out the name of the song. It was nice to discover something new and fun to do.
Your musical talent is such a advantage to your family. I don't have musical abilities and sometimes I think my kids miss out on that part of talents and I'm so unaware of where to begin.
