Today was the start of an adventure. This morning we were suppose to fly to Orlando and by afternoon be in DisneyWorld. Unfortunately, because of a misunderstanding about baggage check-in we missed our flight by a few minutes. We've always said that to be a real "adventure" it must have the bad along with the good. That's why we know we're on a REAL adventure. We tried waiting standby to no avail. Finally a very nice airline person broke the rules and booked us on a later flight-free of charge-so we could all go together instead of waiting all day on standby. In the end we're happy we got to go back home to pick up things we forgot, wash a shirt that got badly dirtied too early in the trip, and just goof off together as a family without the world knowing we weren't really gone. I also found my favorite quote of the year from the book Savvy by Ingrid Law today, "You never can tell when a bad thing might make a good thing happen." So who knows what this adventure will bring?
