We have started bridge building at our house so it was only fitting that Mother's Day turned into a scenic bridge tour. It didn't start out that way, things tend to go random at our house. It started with a gymnastic meet 6 hours away on Saturday night. That made us need to drive home on Sunday morning...Mother's Day. So we found FamilyFun's Denver weekend tour guide and made the trip into a scenic drive. The bridge in our kitchen was built by J. The trestle bridge we found hidden in a little town called Bailey.
We ended with a drive past the Royal Gorge bridge because Grandma was with us and that was where she had gone on her honeymoon. A lot has changed since then. We didn't go on the screaming skycoaster that flings you out over the gorge....maybe next time.
Isn't it fun to keep driving around and still finding new things?
